Mechuka, just the name conjures up something absolutely magical and mystical. A land of scenic beauty ,rivers, bamboo bridges, and greenery. There is a bit of everything – history, culture, folklore, not to mention the local food which is absolutely delicious. Come to Mechuka. It is a little part of Switzerland in our very own Arunachal Pradesh.
‘Ruins amongst the Boulders’….this is the way WeGoBond, theall women’s travel group advertises its trip to Hampi, Anegundi, Pattadakkal, Aihole and Badami!! On joining the adventure and being part of it, one realizes that it is not just ‘ruins’and not just ‘ boulders’. The entire aura is a Symphony in Stone; the stones are alive and ‘speak’ out to the passer by.
Standingin the midst of the singing stone columns of the numerous temples, one gets transported in time, backwards, and one can only imagine the resplendence and might of the Dravidian rulers. The structures are made of granite and each is exquisitely carved depicting the lifestyle and panorama of their existence.
Indeed this is a trip not to be missed by the history lovers and also the budding architects. To put a final cap on this amazing and satiating experience, WeGoBond lived up to its name by crafting out a practical and comfortable itinerary, along with food and lodging. Not to forget the trip leader, who played her role as a wonderful leader with her patience, cheerful countenance,efficiency and ‘ready to help’ attitude.

I traveled with WeGoBond on one of their signature trips to Spiti in July , 2016, and it will remain as one of my most memorable journeys. It was well-organized, the accommodation was carefully selected, the transport and the drivers were impeccable (which is so essential for a road trip).

Thanks, Shibani, for organizing such an amazing trip to Myanmar! The beautiful sunsets and colossal pagodas were breathtaking, and traveling by boat over the serene waters of Lake Inle was awesome.

Myanmar was my first trip of this kind, and every aspect of it exceeded my expectations.
From day one, I felt so comfortable with all the documentation and planning done by Shibani – not to mention the information on Myanmar that was given to us! The hotels were very comfortable and beautiful, and I really appreciated the flexibility that was allowed in our planned schedule. My new-found friends on the trip also made it more special.

As a group of 12, we traveled extensively across Greece. Our carefully crafted itinerary, balanced Greek history and heritage, with hikes and hopping across vibrant islands in the Aegean Sea. Our ‘Greece Girls’ gang was so much fun, and our shared laughs and conversations by the turquoise-water washed shores will be some of my very best memories.
