From stunning views of some of the world’s highest mountains, magnificent monasteries, an aura of peace, and its warm people–despite its tragic past and painful present–Tibet has fascinated travellers from across the world.

For the first time ever, WeGoBondis opening its trip up to both men and women! A once-in-a-lifetime sort of a trip warrants something special and we’re very happy to be offering a trip to Tibet as our first unisex trip. So grab your friend, your spouse, your partner, nephew or colleague and join us for a great adventure. Solo men need not despair—we promise you you’d end up with some great friends, and a trip you won’t forget!

Our very special trip begins in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, where we will complete the necessary visa formalities for Tibet. Thereafter, prepare yourself for your trip to Tibet—also called ‘The Roof of the World’.

The Tibetan plateau stands the highest in the world, at an average of 4,500 metres above sea level. This is nothing to scoff at and prepare to spend your time in beautiful Lhasa acclimatising to the high altitude of the region. Walking around and taking in Lhasa’s stunning vistas is the best way to acclimatising to the altitude—and indeed the most pleasurable! During your three days in Lhasa, you will see some of Lhasa’s iconic sights like the Potala Palace (former home of the 14th Dalai Lama before he fled to India), Drepung Monastery and Barkhor Baazar.

After your Lhasa sojourn, we head to Xigatse, where we will visit Tashi Lhunpo Monastery, one of the largest monasteries in Tibet. View the remarkable Thangka Wall here, built by the 1st Dalai Lama in 1468. We then proceed to Gyantse, where you will visit the Gyantse Dzong, the 14th-century fortress. We will also visit the Karola Glacier, Yamadroke Lake, and Kamba Pass.

In a trip of firsts, we are happy to be announcing our first-ever visit to the veritable holy grail of mountains—the Mount Everest. Scaling the world’s highest mountain has long been a prestigious occupation for many serious mountaineers and hobbyists. But not everyone wants to undertake the physically and mentally harrowing journey all the way to the summit!

So WeGoBondhas handcrafted a special experience keeping in mind both the comfort and safety of those who wander with us—and organised a trip to the Everest Base Camp situated at 5,100 m! There is a special kind of pleasure in observing the majesty of the world’s highest peak from a distance, where you can quietly contemplate the wonders of the natural world and soak up the tranquillity of the Himalayas. The Tibetan Base Camp some of the most jaw-dropping views of the range, and is remarkably under the radar, still retaining the sense of serenity you associate with the Himalayas. We will be driving to the camp instead of trekking there, making it a breezy journey for everyone.
During our visit to the Everest Base Camp, will also be visiting Rongbuk to see the world’s highest monastery at 4,980 m, where you will get to see dramatic and uninterrupted views of the Everest.

This is a trip you certainly don’t want to miss out on so sign up today and bring along your friends and family too!
