Masinagudi Jungle Hut and Gudalur Tea Estate

It’s been a while since WeGoBondhas had a jungle getaway trip. We were waiting for the stars to align and we were looking for the perfect getaway for you. We wanted to try something deep in the jungles and tea estates of South India and we have lined up the right mix of fun and activities and relaxation for you.

We begin our trip ex Bangalore, where we will pick you up from the airport by 9:30 am, and head straight out of the city towards Mysore. We continue onwards to Bandipur forest reserve and towards Masinagudi, where we stay two nights. Masinagudi is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Mountains as the Nilgiri ranges are called. Surrounded by hills on all sides and thick forests, it’s the perfect place for you to spot wildlife and sing camp songs around a bonfire. We will take you on a jungle safari and plan fun activities at the camp. Then, it’s onwards and upwards, into the mountains and tea gardens.

Gudalur is a hidden gem, it is not as commercial as Ooty and so much more beautiful. We stay, nestled away, inside a tea estate, in an old colonial bungalow, where you can take estate walks and be spoiled rotten over endless cups of tea. We travel by a comfortable AC Tempo Traveller. This is a relaxed, leisurely weekend break.

All costs ex Bangalore are included A private Jeep safari in included as well We stay at a lovely resort in Masinagudi and a beautiful heritage bungalow in Gudalur And the Monsoons are a great time to go! We plan this trip with a very small group – so a maximum of 7 ladies.

‘Ruins amongst the Boulders’….this is the way WeGoBond, theall women’s travel group advertises its trip to Hampi, Anegundi, Pattadakkal, Aihole and Badami!! On joining the adventure and being part of it, one realizes that it is not just ‘ruins’and not just ‘ boulders’. The entire aura is a Symphony in Stone; the stones are alive and ‘speak’ out to the passer by. Standingin the midst of the singing stone columns of the numerous temples, one gets transported in time, backwards, and one can only imagine the resplendence and might of the Dravidian rulers. The structures are made of granite and each is exquisitely carved depicting the lifestyle and panorama of their existence. Indeed this is a trip not to be missed by the history lovers and also the budding architects. To put a final cap on this amazing and satiating experience, WeGoBond lived up to its name by crafting out a practical and comfortable itinerary, along with food and lodging. Not to forget the trip leader, who played her role as a wonderful leader with her patience, cheerful countenance,efficiency and ‘ready to help’ attitude. Kudos to Shibani Vig and her team. Hope to have more ‘close encounters’ in future.
