Virginal Arunachal Pradesh, literally the ‘Land of Dawn-lit Mountains’, is a mass of dense forests and steep hills. It is home to 26 indigenous tribes including the Monpas of Tawang and the Apatanis of Ziro.

Arunachal also probably has the last sanctuary for India’s natural and anthropological heritage.

We will start our journey in Assam with two nights at Kaziranga.

Kaziranga National Park – a World Heritage Site — hosts two – thirds of the world’s great one – horned rhinoceros. At the same time, boasts of having the highest density of tigers among the protected areas in the world, and was declared a tiger reserve in 2006.

After Kaziranga, we will head towards western Arunachal Pradesh. The whole journey offers spectacular views of waterfalls, terraced paddy fields, alpine forests, and mountain streams that make up for the bumpy ride.
