In 2018 we planned our maiden tour to Croatia—to great success! So we are pleased to bring yet another edition to you with even more exciting places. Join us for some magical days in Croatia and, for the first time ever, Slovenia—for those who want to a longer sojourn!
We kick off our Croatian adventure in its vibrant capital, Zagreb. Walk through the city’s cobbled streets and gaze at buildings and churches of historical significance. It is believed that those who toss a coin into the mythic Mandusevac fountain always have their wishes come true—so why not give it a shot?
No visit to Croatia is complete without a visit to the stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site of Plitvice Lakes National Park. Spend a day hiking through the forests of Plitvice and marvelling at 16 pristine turqoise lakes, and as many as 92 waterfalls! The hiking trails are well-marked and beautifully maintained, making it an utterly immersive experience the likes of which you would remember for a long time to come.
Next, we visit the quaint old town of Split, yet another UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wander through Split’s narrow alleys, stop for a drink at one of its many bars, and soak in all of its Roman splendour at the famous Diocletian’s Palace! And do enjoy some time at one of the numerous bars and restaurants lining Split’s bustling waterfront. From Split, we embark on an exciting catamaran ride to the beautiful island of Hvar—beloved of both luxury travel websites and thrifty backpackers!
After Hvar, we take yet another catamaran ride and make our way to our final destination, Dubrovnik—the figurative gem in Croatia’s crown. With its historic walls and fortresses that have stood the test of time (and celebrity!), Dubrovnik is truly a jewel of the Adriatic. Overlooking the glittering Adriatic Sea, the town is home to sumptuous architecture and works of art. Game of Thrones fans will have fun identifying all the filming locations of the famous TV series.
For those who are willing, we are excited to take you on a getaway to picturesque Slovenia for three days before the start of the Croatia trip. You will start your magical explorations in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Ljubljana is frequently considered one of the coolest and hippest capitals in Europe, which is only now being discovered by tourists. Discover all that the city has to offer by walking around the city centre and visiting the 900-year-old Ljubljana Castle.
Next, take a trip to the emerald-green Lake Bled, where you will feel as if you’ve been transported to the pages of a fairytale! You will also get to visit the largest show cave in Postojna and walk up to the world’s largest cave castle at Predjama.
